Sophie ran a hand through her hair. It was the best she could do without a comb. In the means of material goods she was lacking. But eventually her hair was smooth enough for her to braid the long locks and she eventually tied it with a ribbon that she had bought before she was on the run. It was the first time when she woke up she didn't have to look over her shoulder out of fear that the F.R.O.G.S. were nearby. The people around her had odd dreams.

Keeping her footsteps quiet, Saika calmly strolled down the path that led to the training grounds nearby. She pulled an old sword from the sheath secured around her waist. The more she focused on the reflection in the blade, the more she felt the collective mind of all the people she's influenced flow into her mind and buzz around her thoughts. They never really stopped, the voices. They were whispering in the back of her mind, even going so far to slip into her dreams every night. With an exhausted sigh, she lowered the sword to her side and continued towards her destination.

Sophie paused when she saw the woman with the sword. She hesitated before she walked over to her. "Hello?" She asked softly.

At the sound of a soft voice Saika was snapped out of her daze, shoving the buzzing voices back from her focus. She jumped slightly when she saw the woman in front of her. "H-huh? Oh. I'm sorry, did I interrupt your training?" She asked loosening her grip on the hilt of her sword.

"Oh, um no. I wasn't training." Sophie said but then she glanced to the sword and a realization dawned on her. "Did I interrupt yours?" She felt a pang of guilt for interrupting her if she had. "I-I can go if I'm bothering you."

The telepath quickly looked down to her sword, understanding where the woman's assumption came from. "Oh! No. You don't have to leave. I was just..." She trailed off before carefully placing the sword in it's sheath, making sure it didn't get close to the woman in front of her. Saika looked back up and smiled sheepishly towards the other.

Sophie smiled albeit a bit uncertainly. It wasn't the weapon she was afraid of. She had spent enough time with Jason to lose any fear of those. If anything weapons made her feel safer. "Then may I join you?" she asked. "You don't have to stop on my behalf thought. I was just looking around."

Surprise, quickly replaced with uncertainty and concern overcame Saika's expression at the woman's request. She gazed down at her sword momentarily before looking back at the woman and giving her a quick smile. "Alright, its fine with me Miss...uhm?" She stopped realizing that she hadn't even asked the woman for her name.

"My name is Sophie." She said kindly. "And you are...?" She smiled when she realized that she didn't know the woman's name either. She sat off to the side, out of her way in case she started practicing her sword work again.

Saika smiled softly as she repeated the name in her head, overpowering the collective in order to properly remember Sophie's name. "I'm Saika. It's nice to make your acquaintance." She bowed lightly and moved to where she was out of the other woman's way. With a quick movement of her wrist, the sword was pulled out once again. She looked over to Sophie, calling out "Make sure to tell me if anything hits you, okay?"

"Okay." Sophie said quietly, wondering if she shouldn't be regretting her decision to stay. However, she firmly stayed put where she sat. She nearly folded her hands in her lap, prim - just like a proper lady.

With a steady hand, Saika pulled the sword out of the sheath and held it out towards a dummy that stood a few feet away. Just breath and strike. Don't let them flow in. With a heavy sigh, she charged at the limp doll and slashed across it's torso, leaving a luminescent red mark.

Sophie frowned when she saw the red mark on the practice dummy. Perhaps she was in Saika's dream. No, she couldn't be, could she? She hadn't remembered falling asleep or leaving her person. She stayed quiet as she watched the older swords woman.

Saika frowned at the mark as it slowly faded away. All she wanted was to hit the dummy normally, without her mutation slipping into the blade. She took a step back and simply thrust into the arm. When she pulled it out, the same red hue flowed from the hole. "C'mon. You can do it...." She said to herself, rearing up for another strike.

Sophie blinked. There it was again. She couldn't have been imagining things. She figured it would be too rude for her to ask what it was that was happening. She tilted her head to the side.
