Hiccup was standing on the farest edge of the training site trying to keep the fire he had on his hand controlled. He had learned how to control his fire bending with the use of instruments but he had to get used to it without them. So there he was trying to make a fire ball and launch it to a near tree. "You can do it." He repeated himself over and over again bit still he couldn't make himself through that stupid ball.

Kida walked around the camp. She wanted to explore some more. She carefully watched where she was going she had already bumped into someone earlier and diddnt want it to happen again. Suddenly she saw a boy well acually she heard him. She knew what he was going trough. Controling the mutation you had was one of the hardest parts of having it. Then she made eyecontact with him. Oh no please kida act normal for once. She smiled because she diddnt know what to say

Hiccup saw a girl approaching him and immediately tried to turn off the fire on his hands. "Hi." He said with a soft smile. The girl instantly looked aqua from his gaze and immediately all kind of thoughts appeared oh his head. Had he acared her? Thought he was weird? He had ashes on his face? Suddenly the fire on his hand became four sizes bigger burning the bench over his head. "Crap!" He hissed as he jumped away as the burning bech fell in front of him.

Kida saw how the flame became bigger. "Watch out!" she yelled. As the thing came down burning. She diddnt thought about it but in a reflex she stepped in front of him as a shield of light appeared. The thing fell on the ground. She looked at him "A-are you alright?!" she asked and gave him a concerned look. she was still shocked 1 because of what happend 2 because she had no idea how she made that shield

Hiccup stepped over the bench to turn off the thing and then turned towards the girl. "Please tell me you made the shield." He said as he walked over her. She seemed truly shocked about what had just happened and himself was confused, usually the flames he made weren't that big. "I guess it could have been worse." He rubbed his neck as he saw the mess he had made. "Sorry for scaring you."

She had calmed down a bit now. "Y-yeah i did.. I have no idea how though" she said. "Its fine i just hope youre alright" she added as she gave him a smile. "That sure was a way to meet" she joked. "Hi im kida"

"Hiccup." he said as he offered his hand to shake. "And thanks for saving my life. Not the way most people plan to make friends but I guess it works." he added as he kicked the burned wood towards the tree. "Are you here for practice too?"

She smiled and grapped his hand. "Nice to meet you hiccup!" she said " and it was nothing i diddnt even know how I managed to make a shield in the first place" she admitted a bit shy. "Im not tge best in controling my powers so it would be useful to train a bit" she said and smiled.

"Awesome." he looked at her hand and passed his hand over the little light getting somehow of warmness coming from it, not as strong as fire but he guessed the mechanic was almost the same. "And you can controll it just with your hands?" He was still working on manipulation his power through his body instead of his weapons so he guess he could learn a couple of things from the girl.

She smiled as her blue eyes light up a bit for a second they had the same colour as the light in her hand. "Thanks!" She said. "And yes i do" she said with a shy smile as she saw him study the little light. "You should see me in the dark." she joked. "Im litterly glow in the dark"

"But how can you do it?" he asked a little too abruptly. "I mean, sorry, that was weird..." he trailed off, he kept quiet as he put in order his thoughts inside his head. "I want to know because, I can´t and I should be able to." he bit his lip and looked at his own empty hand. "I mean, I can controll fire with my swords and other stuff but not with my hand, as you already saw."

Kida laughed a bit. "Dont worry im known by being weird" She said. Kida thought about his question. She had learned it because she was afraid of the dark as a kid. "Okay ehm first put your weapons away i guess then you have no other way then hands or such."

Hiccup nodded and then took his sword out of his hidding place under his pants and threw it towards the nearest tree. "All right." he said when he remembered the second one he had hidden in his left hip on his belt. When he threw it he raised his hands showing her he had them clean. "First step ready."
