Mulan stood on the traing grounds with one leg brandishing a sword in one hand and while a squirrel balanced itself on her other. She slowly moved one leg around and help her balance as she swung her sword through the air. "How you holding up Bucky?" She looked at the squirrel for confirmation who chirped back a response. Mulan let out a sigh at the. Squirrel's response. "Yes I'll help you gather nuts as soon as I'm done training.

The blonde had just finished his exercises, figuring it would've been more interesting to keep up his muscles rather than sit around all day. He began to walk off the training grounds. his vest and dress shirt flung lazily over his right shoulder, before a rather…interesting sight caught his attention. There was a woman who seemed to be balancing a squirrel on one hand whilst swinging a sword with the other. He didn't notice his body beginning to move towards her, his unwavering curiosity getting the better of him.

Mulan leapt off the gound still balancing the Squirrel on her hand and landed on her other foot a few inches in front of Shizuo. She blinked as she looked at him and nearly lost her balancing. The squirrel annoyed by almost falling chirped at Mulan. Mulan put her other foot on the ground and placed the squirrel down. She sheathed her sword and looked down at the squirrel. "Sorry for the surprise I was just testing my landing balance." The squirrel looked at the blonde and quickly scurried off. Mulan directed attention to him and brushed a black strand of hair out of her face. "Sorry for landing so close, I guess I wasn't paying attention to who was nearby. My name is Mulan." Mulan stuck her hand out to Shizuo smiling.

Shizuo's gaze followed the squirrel as it darted away from the two of them. He turned back towards Mulan and looked blankly at the hand she had stuck out in front of him. The blonde shrugged off the apology and reached out to shake her hand, putting a little bit too much of his strength into the grip. "Shizuo." he replied blatantly, raising an eyebrow at the sword she had with her. "And no need to apologize, I doubt you could've done much harm to me."

Mulan shook her hand after he released it. The shake was a little more firm than she had expected. She looked Shizuo over studying him. "Nice to meet you Shizuo. That's quite a grip you got there, you mightb want to watch your strength." Mulan breathed out and rested her hand on her sword. "So, You here for protection or retribution?" From Mulan's experience the mutants at the camp either wanted protection from the world or looking to get even with it.

"Sorry." He said, quickly shoving his hand into his pocket. He looked down at Mulan's hand, trying to see if he had popped something out of place. His gaze flicked back up to her face, seeing no signs of pain or discomfort. "A little of both I suppose." He stated thoughtfully in reply to her question.

Mulan nodded in understanding. It was easy to be both since it was the same as her. "Understandable I guess its easy to be both. So Shizuo how'd you end up here and what are your plans?" Mulan knew she was being very forward but thats how she was. She liked being direct with people, it was how she decided on her friends, this was also why she didn't have many friends.

How did he end up here? I guess she meant what caused him to come here. He tried his best to remember the specifics of what caused his fleeing of the City. "There was a guy being real handsy with this girl on the street...I guess I snapped and blacked out from the rage." He narrowed his eyes as he thought back to that moment. "Pretty sure I flung a light post at the guy." Shizuo shrugged and flexed his free hand for a second. "I guess all I want is to be able to control my strength. I'll be satisfied with getting at least that from being here."

Mulan listened as he told her about defending a girl. She already liked his personality since he seemed to be looking out for other people aside from just himself. Mulan laughed as he told her about throwing a light post at the man. "Well I think you'll fit in here just fine. From what I hear Slade has been heading up the controlling your powers things, but Dimitri I think might be able to help more since he's a bit more trust worthy." Mulan was never shy about her distrust for Slade, and she didn't care if news about it got back to Slade.

The blonde raised an eyebrow and nodded. He had only heard of the two, but he hadn't bothered to speak to them unless it was absolutely necessary. "Dimitri, not Slade. Noted." He muttered before looking down at the sword that was in her hand. "Speaking of abilities, that sword have anything to do with yours?"

Mulan looked down at her sword and then back to him shaking her head. "No I'm just a skilled swordsman, I do however have the ability to talk to animals, which I've enjoyed immensly. I find most animals have more intelligent things to say than most humans." She had never been able to have a conversation with a human without blowing her top and trying to hurt them. She patted her sword gently as she said, "I find that humans only hear whats directly put in front of them."

"That...really explains the squirrel." He stated looking off into the direction where the rodent had scampered off. He raised an eyebrow at Mulan. "I can't argue with you there. Hell, I'm pretty sure I don't look too deep into things half the time." He sheepishly scratched at the base of his neck. It was taking him a second to process everything that she had said, but he was more hung up on the "skilled swordsman" thing.

Mulan almost chuckled at his response. "Well Shizuo you're right that would explain him." Mulan flipped the sword around and slipped it into its sheath. "I was trained by a blind hermit. He may have been a mutant but he never told me. I had my suspicions but he dissapeared one day and I haven't seen him since them. You haven't seen a blind swordsman around have you?" One of the few people who Mulan had ever truly cared about was this swordsman and he had never told her his name.

The blonde shook his head, moving to place his sunglasses onto the bridge of his nose. "Sorry, but no. But if he was here, I think he'd stand out like a sore thumb." Shizuo took a seat onto a rock nearby.

Mulan chuckled thinking about her teacher. "You would think, but for some reason he seems to be able to get around without getting noticed. I haven't been able to pick up any of his trails. He seems to have dissapeared into thin air." Mulan sat indian style on the ground nearby Shizuo. "So you don't seem to care too much about very much.
