It had taken much maneuvering, timing, and pure dumb luck for the mutant to be this far into enemy lines once more. She stuck to the alleys and back streets, not wishing to have another encounter with any FROGS operatives. Through her goggles, she saw that the coast was mostly clear. She just needed to get to the other side of the city to retrieve the weapons she had unfortunately lost a hand on the last time she was there. With a reassuring breath, she ducked into the traffic of people and made her way towards her old desolate house.

Edward walked through the streets, keeping an eye out for trouble. He hadn't gotten stopped by anyone today, which was nice. It was rare whenever he wouldnt get looks of scorn and hate. When passing by an alley, he spotted a girl running through a backstreet. It appeared she was trying to not get seen. He followed her down the alley, careful not to alert that he was following her. If she was hiding in this city, it wss a strong possibility that she was a mutant. If she was, he would keep an eye out for her.

Something itched at the back of her mind. It was familiar…but not too familiar. She couldn't exactly figure out why, but a trickle of fear ran down her spine. What if it was one of those FROGS agents that were tailing her. She began to move a bit faster, but not so much to draw attention to herself.

It wasn't safe. Someone was watching her and she knew it. With little to no disturbance of the flow of the crowd she darted into another alleyway, ducking behind a dumpster and silently pulling her sword from beneath her trench coat. She crouched, ready for the person if they continued to tail her.

Edward continued to follow her, not knowing she was hiding. He passed the dumpster, putting his hands in his pocket "Where could she have gone?" He spoke to himself, losing sight of her.

Without a single thought, she whipped out her sword and rush behind him, holding the sharp side of the blade near his throat. "So you were following me…What do you want from me?" she inquired, her voice sounding between calm and skittish.

Edward stayed calm when the sword was close to his throat "I was merely trying to make sure you were safe." He knew it sounded weird, considering he was a stranger to the girl.

Her eyes narrowed. It wasn't at the potential lie he may have been telling, but it was his voice…something seemed eerily familiar and it practically itched at her curiosity. She backed away from him and held the sword to his back. "Turn around slowly..."
